Is Ghost FTP free?
Yes. Ghost FTP is completely free, with every available feature included and no subscription.
Is Ghost FTP available for Android?
Android is not currently available. Windows and Linux versions are available now.
Which protocols are supported?
SFTP over SSH, FTPS over TLS and classic FTP. We recommend SFTP or FTPS for secure use.
Why can’t I connect to my server?
Check the address, port, username and password. If the connection stalls, review passive mode and firewall rules.
Where are my passwords stored?
Server credentials are encrypted and stored locally on your computer. They are never sent to us or third parties, and you can use an SSH private key instead.
Can an interrupted transfer resume?
Yes. Ghost FTP resumes from the interruption point and automatically retries failed queued files.
How do I change the interface language?
Choose one of 12 languages in Preferences. The change applies immediately without restarting.
Does it run on Linux without installation?
Yes. Download the standalone x86_64 binary, mark it executable and run it. No installation or administrator access is required.
How do I report a bug?
Send the issue description and app version through Contact. You can copy transfer logs from Transfer Center.
